DNA Day: Y-DNA TribeMapper Report Contest

Happy DNA Day!

To celebrate DNA Day, we will be giving away five (5) TribeMapper Reports.

Your tribe has left genetic footprints through the ages. The TribeMapper Report will map your DNA and haplotype across time and geography, connecting you to a rich history.

Traditional genealogy and its reliance on paper records can only take us as far back as records exist.  This is perhaps 300 or 400 years.  It could be as much as 1000 years if we can connect to wealthy or royal families.  Y-chromosome testing can illuminate our haplogroup origins.  DNA testing companies provide a wealth of information for our deep ancestry from 10,000 to over 100,000 years ago.  That leaves a large gap of time and geographic location for our nomadic ancestors and only covers the broad-brush strokes of the highest-level haplogroups. TribeMapper can get to the migration patterns at the individual haplotype level.

The five winners will be announced on May 1st.  For more details on the content of the report see our website.

You must have completed at least a 37 marker Y-DNA (paternal line) test.  The results of your Report can be used for research, as the basis for an article or for the promotion of  Your supplied DNA results will not be disclosed, sold or otherwise transferred.
